About this place
From domestic young chicken steak crisped to a crackle to lamb sautéed with celery and fragrant cumin, the bill of fare at Sendagaya's asatte menu is full of distinctive creative plates. For those arriving with a hearty appetite, substantial centerpieces include a 250g beef steak, a 300g domestic beef ribeye, and Big Mama's barbecue spare ribs served with mashed potatoes.
The appetizers and small sharing dishes designed to accompany drinks are equally diverse. Combinations feature Kanagawa kettle-boiled shirasu whitebait and egg yolk ajillo, Daisen chicken rillettes, and fruit tomatoes served chilled in dashi or finished with onion dressing. Seafood selections like wild raw Southern bluefin tuna sashimi and firefly squid okizuke sit comfortably alongside staples like Japanese fried chicken and truffle french fries.
To finish, the kitchen turns out aromatic truffle risotto, shirasu peperoncino, and house-made meat sauce spaghetti. Free-flowing drink packages are also available to pair with courses, featuring beer, wine, and a broad range of whiskies. With counter seats and private dining rooms in a relaxed setting, it makes a pleasant evening retreat, easily topped off with their firm, bittersweet caramel pudding.
